Travel to London | Need recommendations for breakfast/Brunch in London?

Updated: May 1, 2020

1. Granger& Co Clerkenwell

There is nothing better than a good breakfast to start the day. In Granger& Co Clerkenwell, they offered a wide range of choices for breakfast from sweet to savory. The ricotta hotcake looks average but the taste was divine. it doesn't taste too sweet even with the maple syrup and it melted soon after I put in my mouth. The hotcake itself is moist and you get a subtle hint of ricotta. The portion was quite big so we recommend sharing it with someone.

We also ordered grilled salmon served with sourdough and scrambled eggs. The salmon was cooked nicely (soft and juicy inside) and scrambled eggs had good texture. Everything was well seasoned. Overall, it was a good and filling dish.

2. Foxlow

Do you crave for fried chicken in the morning? because sometimes, we do! Foxlow claimed that they had the best fried chicken in London so we came to see if it was true!

We ordered fried chicken & croissant waffle and Foxlow breakfast (which consists of sourdough, British sausage, sunny side up, bacon, grilled potato, and buttered mushrooms. The Foxlow breakfast taste like home-cooked to us, nothing special but it is a good dish if you like a variety of food for your breakfast.

The fried chicken was above average in our opinion but is it the best-fried chicken that we have tested? em..... NO. However, it satisfied our cravings and it was not a bad meal at all!

3) Leto Caffe

We love all the cakes that we have tried here, especially the rose and lychee cake which has was moist and fluffy! We originally came for the brunch only but changed our minds when we saw their cakes in the countertop cake fridge. We ended up just ordered one dish which was the egg Benedicts from the brunch menu. The egg Benedict was ok, it's an average dish in terms of the taste.

We put this cafe in our brunch/breakfast list because we don't mind eating cakes in the morning at all!

4. Dominique Ansel Bakery

The website says Dominique Ansel invented 'Cronut'. What a delicious invention! If you don't know what cronut is, it is the combination of doughnut and Croissant so double the satisfaction from the flaky buttery dough and cream inside. He owns several bakeries worldwide but unfortunately not in my country, yet?

I was saddened by the fact that I won't be able to get eat it again when returning home and yes we love their cronuts this much!

Dominique Ansel Bakery in London alters the favours of the Cronuts each month. I am also a big fan of both their sweet and savoury pastries. However, I was disappointed by their watermelon ice-cream. It was too sweet and lack of the refreshing taste of watermelon. Website: https://dominiqueansellondon.com/

This is the food that we tried and personally think it is amazing :) I will be update more information about United Kingdom in the future and many more countries.
