Travel to London | Must Visit Places in London

Updated: Apr 30, 2020

This post will show you the popular places to visit in London! We complied this list based on our experiences when travelling in the UK. We hope you find the information useful!

1) British MuseumThe is no entrance fee required. (YAY!) The museum itself is huge and people normally spend about half a day here. You will love this place if you are interested in history (both british and the World history). If you are not interested in history, we still recommend you to visit because there are lots to see! you will be carried away by interesting things that you have never seen before you knew it.

2) Buckingham Palace This picture was taken outside the palace at the gate. The Buckingham Palace has been a famous tourist attraction so be prepared to see crowds taking photos outside the palace. We tried to avoid taking photos of the gate and other tourists so yea.... this is the best we could get ut we tried our best. There were a few British soldiers standing outside the palace, they won't interact with you, ofcourse, but most people take photos with them. We both agreed that it worth a visit. It felt amazing because we could see the Place itself with our eyes but not in the postcards. HAHAHAHA... Plus who knows that you might meet the royals. xD

3) Borough Market You would find a variety of cuisines in this market! They have all kinds of food, from sweet to savory and from seafood to grilled meat. You will struggle with choices if you're like us who are indecisive, they all looked so delicious and we wanted to try them all! In the market, you will see stores that sell many types of chili, olive oil, and cheese and often you will see those which you would not be able to get at the supermarket.

We also had Italian Gelato in Gelateria 3BIS- I ordered a mix of creamy flovour and refreshing sorbet. It melts really quickly so consume it fast! It drips everywhere after I am done taking photos and videos. You can also ask for runny chocolate sauce at the bottom of cone for FREE when you order your gelato!

Flavour I order: Panna Cotta (my favourite flavour), Dark Chocolate and Lemon Sorbet.

We also try the Prosecco Spritzer which contain prosecco, rose, lemonade and peach liquer. I LOVE IT! It is a low-alcoholic refreshing drink so I could taste stong scent of peach instead with a slight bitter and sour at the end.

You should also try the borough market "must-try" which is the gigantic and fresh oysters! There were many stores that serve fresh oysters and each has oysters from different sizes and origins.

And, last but not least, the donuts from "bread ahead" was a bomb! The donuts were stuffed with creams of different flavors (chocolate custard, classic vanilla, caramel sea salt honeycomb. Yum, I am salivating even thinking about it.

4) Winter Wonderland ( open during December Holiday Season only) Hyde Park Winter Wonderland provides extreme rides, family shows, and the Christmas market where they sell products that represent Christmas such as ornaments, candles, and traditional food. Despite the cold weather, the place is decorated with sparkling lights and Christmas trees.  The atmosphere here was definitely different, a place where family and friends could gather around and have fun to celebrate the festive season. If you are thinking to join ice skating, the online reservation is recommended as there is a chance that you could not get in if it is fully booked.

5) Harrods If you like designer goods, you would enjoy this shopping heaven. Harrods carries all kinds of designer brands and you could never get tired of this place if you adore fashion.  Despite their luxury shopping line, Harrods also has a tea room where you could enjoy British afternoon tea that serves buttery scones and good tea.

6) Tower Bridge Make your self a postcard quality photo by taking a picture of the London Tower Bridge! Trust us, those who had the worst photo taking skills could nail this, because this place is so pretty that you could not go wrong taking photos at any angle and with any skills!

7) Kyoto Garden It is a Japanese-inspired garden that you could take some photos of nature. You could spend a few hours chilling in the garden and there is also a cafe and ice-cream store so you can have a sip of warm drink or anything you love while watching the great scenery of the Garden. We also managed to see some peacocks and squirrels in the garden.
